For more than 20 years, the mission of the Center for the Neurobiology of Learning and Memory
(CNLM) has been to conduct and promote research on the basic brain processes that underlie
our ability to learn and remember. Understanding these enormously complex processes
of the brain is undoubtedly one of the most intriguing and challenging quests of modern
science. The investigations of CNLM research builds the foundation of knowledge about
the brain that is essential for understanding learning and memory. There has been considerable
progress in understanding the workings of the brain in recent years.
National Science Foundation
The National Research Council has released a 3-year report that synthesizes research
on human learning. The research put forward in the report has important implications
for how our society educates. The U.S. Department of Educations Office of Educational
Research and Improvement (OERI) which funded this report, has posed educational
developmental recommendations. PrepMasters Enrichment Programs are based on these
recommendations.
